Galatians 6:10 says “Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Forum’s benevolence ministry exists to live out that call. Those with needs simply fill out an initial form that goes directly to the benevolence committee. Next the team walks beside individuals, together seeking out the best next steps for meeting their needs. While there is great blessing in physical supports such as rent, utility bills, food, car repairs, etc., often the greatest blessing comes from spiritual support through prayer, guidance, and mentoring. This ministry’s goal is to build relationship with both Christ and the church body so those making requests should be actively involved in the Forum community.
