MARRIAGE CONFERENCE REFRESH

So often we get away, are refreshed, learn new tools but after a few weeks see little change or progress and revert back to old ways. We desire to grow but often lack the accountability, motivation, or energy to keep at it. It happens to us all and with that in mind, we want to help you in your efforts by creating an opportunity for you to come together again with other couples who attended the conference and who are striving to do the same and to encourage you through community.
It will have similar elements to the conference as far as fun and learning, but mostly will be discussion groups in which you can share and learn from other couples. It will be a time to look back at the conference and see how God has been at work the past month as well as a time to look forward and see where God is leading you as a couple.
Although this event is designed as accountability for those who attended the COMO Christian Marriage Conference in April, couples who were not able to attend the conference are still welcome to join us and will benefit from the event.

DISCO
SAT, JUL 27 6:00-8:00PM in the Forum Family Life Center
Go back in time and shake a leg with each other as we learn basic moves of the Hustle from instructors Tyler and Morgan Davison. It will be a fun night of learning and dancing. We’d love for you to go all out and scrounge together some 70s attire to really help set the mood. Can’t find any? No worries, we’ll have couples in both normal and 70s attire so whatever sounds good to the two of you.
Cost is $10 per couple.

DRIVE-THRU DATE NIGHT
FRI, SEPT 27 at Christian Fellowship Church (5045 Chapel Hill) back entrance on Louisville. Pickup packets from 5:30-6:30PM. Childcare available from 5:30-8:00PM
Need some quality face to face time together? We’ve got the perfect date planned for you, well…mostly. Drive by Christian Fellowship to pick up your date night packet. Choose your destination(s) on your own. You can go to an upscale restaurant, food truck, cafe, fast food, etc. or be progressive and do all of the above! It doesn’t matter. You can connect with your spouse anywhere in the world, so it’s your choice. What’ll it be?
On your drive to dinner and throughout your meal, your kit will provide you with discussion prompts, activities and extra challenges. If you choose as a couple to participate in the challenges and make submissions, you may receive one of our prizes that include gift cards to local establishments.
If you could really use community in your marriage, feel free to invite a couple to join you for a double date instead. The night will be what you make of it.

MUSIC TRIVIA
SAT. NOV, 16 // 6:00 - 8:30 PM
If your marriage could use some laughter and silliness, this is the event for you! Trivia night is one of our most popular events, and for good reason. It has a mixture of fun, smarts and play. There really is something for everyone. First off, dress the part and throw on a tshirt with your favorite band on it or go all out and dress up as a famous band or musician. We love seeing what couples and teams come up with and it makes for some pretty sweet photos.
We’ll have some snacks and drinks to much on while couples compete in teams of four couples to answer music themed questions. There will be nine different categories of musical questions. You can put a full team together, partial team, or sign up as an individual couple and we’ll fill spots as needed. If you’re putting a team together, please come up with a music themed team name and let your teammates know before signing up. Every couple will sign up on their own, not as a team.
This is a great event to invite your friends, coworkers or neighbors to. There will be lots of opportunity for you to get to know the couples at your table as well as others during the breaks.

NAVIGATE

2024 has come and gone— How did you and your spouse do with living a life that’s increasingly aligned with your values? That’s a tough (but fair) question. What changes do you want to make to take next steps towards aligning your schedule with your values? Are you the husband/wife you want to be, the one in which God desires you to be? What small steps is God inviting you to make in 2025 to grow you more into the likeness of his Son Jesus?
Without a plan of what we want to build - together - we are naturally swept along with the current of our cultural moment. Without pausing to consider who we want to become ten years from now and making small changes in our lives to promote growth, we’ll likely remain stagnant in who we are today. Come be a part of an intentional time for you and your spouse to dream together, pray for God’s guidance and start forming a plan for 2025.
