SATURDAY OCTOBER 6 // 2:00-6:00 PM
Reaching out to our community is the heart and vision behind our “Opening Day” event. This carnival styled event will feature activities for all ages including bounce houses, free food, yard games, and sports related challenges. Our primary objectives are to bring exposure to not only our facility, but also to the loving presence of Christ that exudes from our church family. One of the things we hear over and over again from new members/attendees is that what made them come back to Forum after their first visit was: “The friendliness, hospitality, warmth, and inclusiveness of your people.” We want to capitalize on that strength at this event. One of the best ways you can serve is to simply be present and engaging with people! We want to equip and empower you to be a part of our “army” of people that are simply meeting people and answering any questions they might have about our church.
This event is designed to serve and reach out to those in the Columbia community that aren’t connected to a church. Although you and your family will have a great time serving and attending this event - keep in mind we are all there primarily to share the message and love of Christ to those that need a relationship with Him and a safe place to experience His grace. Let’s be on mission to be selfless in our willingness to serve at this event that has the incredible potential to further God’s mission here at Forum!
We will need teams of volunteers at each of our activities and various stations to fully staff this event. Simply fill out the following form and we’ll contact you soon! Thank you for partnering with us as we intentionally connect people to Jesus!
Thank you to all of our volunteers who signed up! We are looking forward to going over the “game plan” with all the volunteers at Training Day on Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium.
